Dr. Brianna (Brie) Flunker graduated from the Arizona State University with a B.S. in Business Management in 2012 and quickly began a career in Finance. After several years, she realized she loved empowering employees and watching their growth but something was missing. She noticed employees often struggled to reach their full potential due to physical and mental health concerns holding them back. That’s when she knew it was time to make the switch to Naturopathic medicine where she could still empower others but also address health concerns to help them thrive in the outside world. She eventually left her role in corporate to pursue her medical education at Sonoran University where she obtained her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. Flunker prefers to use the least invasive treatment options required to provide positive health benefits. She often leans on homeopathy, acupuncture, botanical medicine and body work as they methods are both effective and affordable. Body work includes different modalities such as craniosacral, visceral manipulation and Neuro Emotional Technique. Sometimes prescriptions are warranted based on the patient’s health condition or severity of their condition, at which time Dr. Flunker may consider utilized pharmaceuticals. In summary, Dr. Flunker believes the body has the innate ability to heal itself but often needs a nudge in the right direction. That is where an individualized healthcare plan encompassing Eastern and Western medicine comes into play. Her goal is to always meet her patients where they are and customize an attainable plan that will allow her patient to regain control of their health. With the right tools and support, together we can achieve optimal wellness.
Preferred areas of focus include endocrinology, women’s health, men’s health, general medicine, mental health and GI conditions. I am also trained in Cranial Sacral and Visceral Manipulation and prefer using the least invasive modalities needed to help patients regain their health.
Some conditions Dr. Flunker focuses on include a a wide array of hormone conditions ranging from general medicine to hormone optimization such as women's health, endocrinology, metabolic health and adrenal fatigue as she believes these are at the core of a patient's health and if they are not within an optimal range, the patient often feels the negative impacts on a daily basis as it becomes difficult to function. Once the basic pillars of health are met, then focusing on optimizing other pillars of life can be addressed. She also treats perimenopausal and periandropausal patients to help ease their transition as hormones begin to decline with age.
Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Flunker made her way to the desert in 2010. She loves being outdoors, fitness and partaking in adventures as often as she can. Her and her husband love to travel abroad, explore local coffee shops and indulge in delicious food. They recently welcomed their first baby boy into the world and can’t believe how fast he is already growing up. She is dog lover and could not imagine life without her Pitbull Cleo.
